about me My name is ***, but I am known as Aurora online. I am a hopeless romantic and a perfectionist. I set my goals high but am easily discouraged - not a winning combination. I have many acquaintances but few real friends. I love each member of my family dearly but have yet to overcome certain misunderstandings in my relationships with them, most of which, I admit, persist as a result of my own selfish pride. I am told I am "insanely empathic." I find joy and satisfaction in helping others, which is why I am studying to be a doctor someday. The number of years and hard work ahead of me is certainly daunting, but I am taking it one step at a time. My escapes include surfing the web, reading various fantasy/romance/horror novels, cleaning my room obsessively, and constantly trying to better myself in more ways than one. |

- I'm often too lazy to include helpful transitions in my entries. Usually, I'm jumping from topic to topic so my entries are pretty much all over the place.

in a nutshell- I LOVE Ariel from The Little Mermaid. Always have, always will.
- Yes, I did used to own Bella.nu. (It's my claim to fame on the WWW, lol.)
- I can be very superficial. :(
- Puppies and babies always make me happy, no matter what mood I'm in.
- Doing things for other people is the key to happiness. It may sound obvious, but it's completely true and should always be kept in mind.
- I'm very feminine, but that doesn't make me stupid. One can like the color pink and still get an "A" in organic chemistry.
- I'm lazy and a huge procrastinator when it comes to school.
- Although the above is true, school is extremely important to me, hence why I am so stressed out all the time. :(
- Annika von Holdt is sort of my hero. She has brains, talent and beauty.
- I sing.
- I'm in a sorority, but don't think of me as your typical sorority girl.
- I love to read, and I should. I'm an English major. Some of my favorites include Outlander, The Picture of Dorian Gray, the Anita Blake series, A Knight in Shining Armor, The Forbidden Game, The Vampire Diaries, Remembrance, The Chronicles of Narnia, A Tale of Two Cities, Memoirs of a Geisha, Bergdorf Blondes, Tuesdays with Morrie, The Historian, Rebel Angels and the Twilight series. I read classical literature too. Promise.
- Music is one of life's many saving graces. I listen to MUSE, Radiohead, The Fray, Snow Patrol, Keane, Damien Rice, Jason Morant, Edwin McCain, Gavin DeGraw and Jeff Buckley with a passion.
- If you're in need of a good movie, rent any of the following: The Little Mermaid, The Lord of the Rings, Beauty and the Beast, Somewhere in Time, Pretty in Pink, Pride & Prejudice, Pirates of the Caribbean, Amelie or As Good as It Gets.
- Bombshells, pin-ups and the old Hollywood screen sirens are love. I'm also completely fascinated by anything mermaid or vampire-related. My life is just full of contradictions.
